How it works
- Each team is guaranteed five exciting matches.
- The regular season spans five weeks, starting on 9/23/24 and concluding on 10/28/24.
- Flexibility is key: You have the freedom to arrange match times and locations that suit you and your opponents.
- We're here to make things easier for you – we'll provide open play dates for your convenience, allowing you to complete multiple matches in one go.
- All regular season matches must be completed by 10/28/24. Failure to do so will result in a loss for each team and a penalty of -22 points per match.
- The top four teams in each division will advance to a flex-format competition to determine the ultimate champion.
- The final tournament matches will be played on Nov 7, 2024.
Match Rules
- Games are played to 11 points, win by two.
- The match winner must win two out of three games.
- If one team wins the first two games, the match is over. (However, you are encouraged to keep playing for fun!)
Reporting Scores
- After each match, a member from each team must report the exact scores.
- Accurate reporting is essential because point differentials will be used as a secondary measure for division standings.
- When submitting scores, report your score for each game, regardless of the outcome. For instance, if you lost the game but scored 6 points, record the score as 6-11.
- Scores must be reported within 3 days of finishing your match. If your team fails to report scores, the scores that will be used are from the reporting team only and will not be changed at a later date.
League Winners: How do playoffs work?
- The top four teams from each division (3.5, 4.0, 4.5) will battle it out for first place.
- Playoff spots are determined by a combination of factors: initially, overall win percentage, followed by game win percentage, and then point win percentage. If teams are tied across these metrics and their point win percentages are within a 5% range of each other, the head-to-head performance from the season is used as a tiebreaker. While head-to-head outcomes are considered, they come into play only after evaluating each team’s overall season performance through these statistical lenses. This ensures that the most consistently strong teams advance to the playoffs while providing a fair method for resolving any close ties.
- Semi-finals will be from October 29th to November 6th still in the flex format. Teams will need to coordinate this match with each other and complete it by EOD November 6th.
- The finals will be played on November 7th.
- Playoff Substitutes: If an original team member is unavailable to participate in playoff matches, a replacement or substitute player may be used under the following conditions:
- League Member: The substitute must be a player currently registered in the league.
- Same Division: The substitute must be from the same division as the team requiring a substitute.
- No Active Playoff Participation: The substitute cannot be actively playing on another team that is still competing in the playoffs.
This substitution must be approved at the league commissioner's discretion at least one day prior to the match. The opposing team will be notified of the substitution before the match begins.
